The History of TCE Holding — Three Decades of Logistics in Romania

TCE Holding was established in the early 1990s, during a period when Romania's transport and logistics market was undergoing rapid transformation. Founded by entrepreneurs with deep experience in the transport industry, the company started with a modest fleet and a clear vision: to deliver quality services to clients in the Bucharest area.

Investment in logistics infrastructure became a central pillar of the growth strategy. The group chose to build its own warehousing capacity, avoiding dependence on third parties and ensuring tighter control over service quality for its clients.

The relocation of warehousing operations to Chitila Logistic Park marked a turning point for the group. The strategic location — 15 minutes from Bucharest city centre, with direct access to the A1 motorway and the capital ring road — allowed TCE Logiplus to efficiently serve clients across the entire metropolitan area.

The 7,300 sqm warehouse, sanitary-veterinary authorised, was equipped with state-of-the-art WMS systems, vertical racking up to 11 metres high and four TIR loading docks for fast inbound and outbound operations. All of this transformed the facility into a modern logistics centre capable of handling large volumes with maximum accuracy.

The implementation of the WMS (Warehouse Management System) represented a major qualitative leap in TCE Logiplus's evolution. All operations — receiving, storage, picking, dispatch — are now managed by scanning, eliminating human error and ensuring complete traceability for every batch of goods.

The FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles are applied automatically by the system, making TCE Logiplus a trusted partner for the food industry, pharmaceuticals and any sector where expiry date management is critical.

The client portal with 24/7 access to stock, orders and reports completes the company's digital ecosystem, providing full transparency in relationships with commercial partners.
